Small Things Mean a Lot    |    Redesigning Packaging for Patient Convenience    |    PACT of Good Health

We aim to facilitate good health by going beyond the pill and offering a holistic product experience.
We continuously engage with patients to understand their unfulfilled and unstated needs.
Drawing from these rich insights, we innovate and enhance our products.

Small Things Mean a Lot
Patients suffering from Type-2 diabetes depend on Metformin as their first in line medicine. The pill was very big in size and hence uncomfortable to swallow. Thus some patients were skipping the medicine, while a large number were breaking it in half to get it down more easily. This is not advisable as it may affect the medicine's dissolution pattern.
Recognising patients' needs, we decided to create a smaller pill that still packed the same impact. The major technical hurdle was reducing the size while ensuring that the right quantity of drug is made available in the blood stream.
We worked with cross-functional teams across every domain to develop a solution. Our R&D, formulations, IP and marketing teams came up with Metsmall®. Now, patients find it easier to take Metsmall® and thus manage their disease effectively on a daily basis.
