TALENT PERFORMANCE
DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT
We are a 20,372+ strong workforce of diverse nationalities, cultures, languages, age groups, genders, and ethnicities committed to one belief: Good Health Can't Wait.
Equal opportunity, diversity, fairness and meritocracy are the guiding principles of our recruitment process. This helps expand our global talent pool, employ differently-abled individuals and improve the gender ratio.
To encourage diversity, we pay higher referral bonuses for referring talented differently-abled candidates for a given vacancy. We also have ongoing tie-ups with agencies and NGOs to attract the differently-abled.
Dr. Reddy's is an employer of choice for women. We lay special emphasis on helping our female colleagues grow professionally and personally. In the reporting period, we made distinct progress and rolled out enabling policies and programmes to help enhance gender diversity.

Our women employees come from backgrounds as varied as the deepest rural pockets
in India to the farthest corners of Europe. They work in roles as diverse as scientists in
our labs, operators in our plants and salespeople in the markets. In FY14, we
reinforced workforce diversity by hiring 33% women during our campus recruitments.
Currently, 15% of our global workforce comprises women, whereas in India, the
diversity percentage is 8%.
The principles of a diverse and inclusive workplace are also demonstrated in the
composition of our Board. It is a mandate at Dr. Reddy's that at least one member of
the Board should be a woman.

India Diversity Initiative

To give a boost to our diversity numbers in India, we have undertaken a pragmatic approach called the 'India Diversity Initiative' which is anchored by an apex diversity council and supported by location diversity councils.   We focus on three specific areas:

Hiring:
We conduct 'all women' recruitment drives and also incentivise
our external hiring partners for helping to hire women candidates.

Maternity and Family Welfare Support:   Development:
Our women employees are entitled to 4+1 months of paid maternity leave, which is a month more than what has been laid down by law. Those who need more time for postpartum care can take three additional months of unpaid leave. Going a step further, we have exempted women on maternity leave from the bell curve during appraisals. For details refer, employee benefits section.   Individual development plans, learning opportunities, customised mentoring programmes, bringing families to visit the workplace etc. are some of the ways we encourage women to grow - within the organisation and also as well-rounded individuals.
