Creating Change Makers
In the reporting period, Dr. Reddy's supported 'Acumen' and 'Centre for Social Initiative and Management', with an aim to nurture next
generation leaders and social change agents.
Acumen India Fellows Programme
With support from Dr. Reddy's, Acumen launched its first India-focussed Leadership Programme - the Acumen India Fellows Programme. The group included 20 social change leaders from across India, who were creating impact through affordable education programmes, innovative mobile healthcare technologies, inclusive credit solutions, inspiring slum soccer programmes and liberating programmes for rural farmers.
Some of the Acumen fellows who have demonstrated inclusive solutions include:
Abhijeet Barse, the CEO of Slum Soccer, who serves marginalised populations across Maharashtra
Girdhari Bora, who has developed mSakhi, an innovative mobile-based learning and counselling tool for community health workers

Employee Volunteering Programme
Our social engagement goes beyond the functions of CSR teams and implementation partners. Employee volunteering is an integral part of our community responsibility philosophy.
Week of Giving
Our founder, Dr. Anji Reddy, was a philanthropist first. As a tribute to his memory, we marked the anniversary of
his passing away with the Week of
Giving - a commemoration that was
observed across Dr. Reddy's locations
worldwide.

Restoring Homes for Vizag Zoo Animals
The volunteers helped restore the Vizag Zoo, by clearing fallen trees due to the Hudhud cyclone. Many other organisations followed our way and helped the zoo recover its glory.
Other Volunteering Initiatives
On World Environment Day, employees planted 150 saplings of different species at the govt. schools in Bachupally, Bollaram and Miryalaguda.
About 2,100 employees contributed to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the victims of the Uttarakhand disaster.
50 employees contributed 35 tricycles to differently abled people residing in the vicinity of our manufacturing locations, from their own funds.

Going Beyond Medicines to Help People Living with HIV/AIDS
The life of an HIV positive person is one of general social rejection, so much so that many are even unable to access hospital care. The Sneha Charitable Trust focusses on precisely such patients, giving them a comprehensive community-based continuum of care. They counsel them and their families, provide treatment of HIV-related opportunistic infections and offer palliative care for the terminally ill. Our large hearted colleagues spent a day interacting with the patients, ranging from little children to senior citizens. They mixed freely with the inmates, helped to clear and clean the grounds, gave the walls a much needed lick of paint, helped to create a composting pit, prepared beds for planting of herbs and planted mango saplings. They fixed a bottle irrigation system as well, so that the plants can survive through summer.

Health and Hygiene Session for Adolescent Girls at Sneha Sadan
Lady volunteers from Dr. Reddy's visited the Sneha Sadan orphanage and interacted with the young girls.
They made them aware about the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene, and developing healthy self-esteem. Touched that someone was actually talking to them about such sensitive topics, the girls opened up and shared their personal experiences with the volunteers.

Interacting with special children
Employees visited the Asha Jyothi Welfare Association for the Disabled at Miryalaguda. They spent time with children and conducted various fun activities for them. They also contributed four wheelchairs and four walkers, to help the children move around more easily.
Additionally, volunteers also participated in a number of other initiatives, including fostering scientific temper among school students, spending time with senior citizens, bringing cheer to orphan children, spreading awareness about traffic rules and many more.
