PACE UPDATE

PACE, our programme to achieve cost and capabilities
excellence, has come a long way since it was launched in 2011
with the dual objective of achieving cost and capability excellence across supply chain management and procurement functions.
PACE has been embedded in the organisation's culture. In FY15,
we decentralised PACE and it is now being run by respective
business units, where each unit is responsible for tracking and maintaining accrual targets. It thrives on generating ideas and
taking them through the funnel until implementation.
In FY14, the number of ideas generated were 311, of which 219
were implemented with a potential savings of ₹3,726.80 million. In
FY15 (YTD), the number of cost saving ideas received were 250, of
which 104 were implemented with estimated savings of ₹1,464.10 million.
Below is the summary of ideas generated and implemented in the
last four years.
