HEALTH EDUCATION
Dr. Reddy's Foundation for Health Education (DRFHE) was launched in 2002 to make health education more accessible. It offers healthcare professionals, the necessary tools and skills needed to function more effectively in their practice and also helps improve patients' knowledge
and understanding of the disease.
Primary Focus Areas of DRFHE

Training Initiatives
Enhancing the interpersonal skills of various healthcare stakeholders to facilitate better patient care.

Awareness Programmes
Organising disease awareness programmes for corporate employees with an aim to prevent lifestyle disorders.

All programmes are built through in-depth research and upgraded regularly to remain in sync with the current needs of the sector.
Some of our programmes like Abhilasha, Sarathi and Inner Circle have also been audited by the Social Audit Network, UK in recognition of the impact created on the target groups.

Training Interventions
Health support staff like nurses, assistants and pharmacists are core to healthcare delivery. The more efficient and empathetic they are, the more holistic and heartfelt is the patient care. DRFHE's training interventions aim to empower these healthcare stakeholders with skills to perform better.

Abhilasha
Abhilasha has been instrumental in empowering nurses with the soft skills necessary for effective patient management and enhanced service orientation. Interpersonal skills, empathetic communication, counselling skills, time management, stress management and rapport building are some of the topics covered in the programme.
In the year 2012, DRFHE initiated the 'Nursing Heads Training Programme' to mould nursing heads into effective coaches for their subordinates. The programme focuses on aspects such as people management, observation skills, motivation, team management and delegation.

Sanjeevani
DRFHE engages with pharmacists through the Sanjeevani programme to ensure that they develop self-confidence and empathy towards their customers as well as improve their prescription dispensation skills.

Inner Circle
The Inner Circle programme for young doctors (PGs) nurtures and hones their communication skills to help them extend compassionate patient care. The programme covers interpersonal skills, empathy, the importance of listening and the art of breaking bad news.

Sarathi
As mediators between the doctor and patient, it is very critical for physicians' assistants and front office staff to be reassuringly responsive. The Sarathi programme aims to enhance their personal effectiveness and interpersonal skills.

Awareness Programmes
In today's world of changing lifestyles, the menace of cancer, diabetes, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases is on the rise. Awareness is the first step to prevention. We partner with various organisations to spread awareness of the precautionary, preventive and curative measures for critical lifestyle diseases. All our awareness interventions are spearheaded under the umbrella of 'Awareness for Life' and year-on-year we have been designing programmes for varied sectors.
Aimed at spreading awareness about lifestyle diseases in corporate India, 1,058 programmes helped 61,183 participants gain more in-depth knowledge about diseases.
