CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
CI BEST PRACTICES IN A NUTSHELL
Upward revision of targets for the team once the current targets are achieved, setting higher benchmarks within the organisation.

The Continuous Improvement projects are a part of plant KPIs. Hence periodic review of these projects is carried out in plant review meetings to keep up the momentum. A few KPIs such as yield and OEE are monitored at unit operation level by team members.

Recipe-based production is implemented in the machines, thereby ensuring only defined recipe is in use and auto controlled.

Change is implemented through revision of SOPs by raising Change Controls to ensure that the practices are standardised and sustained.

Shop floor employees are constantly trained in the areas of waste identification and elimination.

'Standardised work' and 'manning norms' are defined for various unit operations post MOST studies. Also standard material handling solutions are under implementation to sustain people productivity.
