We had two RO plants that provided feed water to boilers.
The RO plants were working at a recovery rate of only 60%
and converted around 600 kld of fresh water to produce 360
kld of boiler feed water. The remaining 240 kld was rejected
and reused in other processes.
We wanted to increase the recovery
from the RO plant and hence we
installed a fully automatic PLC
based three stage RO system. This
new RO system has a recovery rate
of 85% and has reduced our fresh
water consumption by 170 kld.
